A message from the organisers…..
Hi All,
Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of you that came to the Best of the Best yesterday. From the competitors and families who travelled from all over Ireland and the ones who came over from parts of the UK. There was over 700 fighters with over 1,500 registrations making it one of the, if not the biggest competition in Ireland this year
I would like to thank all the referees and officials whether you were only there for a little while or there for the whole day it’s greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all the referees who came over from the UK to help out as well, we wouldn’t of been able to have as many areas if it wasn’t for you guys
A big thank you to the Chief Referee Karl Wilson for helping organising the referees/officials and volunteers for the last few weeks and keeping the competition going as best as he could
Thank you for anyone that said nice words about the competition and enjoyed the day
For anyone that wasn’t happy, their section was delayed or didn’t get to fight I am very sorry. There were a few things that were out of our control that delayed the event or didn’t allow some of your fighters to fight.
The Best of The Best has been running for over 35 years and this has never happened, so again I am truly sorry
I appreciate all the constructive criticism/feedback, it is always welcome and myself and the team will take it all on board for next year
We are already planning on next year and taking your feedback on board to make all these improvements starting with a 2 day event
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who paid the €5 spectator fee, because of yous we have raised over €3,000 that will all go towards the Irish Cancer Society Irish Cancer Society
We hope to see you all next year.
